Last night, we had another exceptional evening of director dialogue on how boards can turn disruption into long-term advantage. The conversation highlighted that in today’s environment of rapid technological change, geopolitical uncertainty, and evolving boardroom composition, boards must continuously adapt to stay ahead. The message was clear: effective governance means enabling innovation, staying externally focused while nurturing strong internal culture and strategy, and anticipating shifts in customers, competitors, and global dynamics to position companies for resilience and success. A special thanks to Jessica Larson, Logan McDougal, and Harshad A. Sardesai from Egon Zehnder for hosting the dinner and leading the evening’s discussion and to our directors for being so candid during the discussion. #innovation #boardroom #directors

We gathered a select group of large-cap board leaders from a broad range of industries for an intimate dinner to dive into a topic that’s quickly transitioning from the margins to the mainstream of boardroom agendas: digital assets. With Alison Davis and Elliott Offit leading the conversation, the directors explored the shifts underway in the digitization of money, assets, and commerce, and what questions board directors should be asking their teams in order to think strategically about how this digitization can affect their company's long-term business strategy and to understand what the risk is by standing still while others move ahead. Thank you to Phillip Mazzie and EY for hosting and to Robyn Bew for moderating this discussion. The group had some great questions, and we were delighted to have NACD Northern California Chapter's board chair, Ira Ehrenpreis, with us for this important conversation. #DigitalAssets #NACDNorthernCalifornia

It was a great discussion that explored strategies for crisis prevention, the board’s role once a crisis becomes public, and how to effectively manage the aftermath, sharing insights from real-world examples and personal experiences. #CorporateCrisis #NACDNorthernCalifornia #PublicRelations #Litigation

Thank you to everyone who joined NACD Northern California Chapter for our 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. We gathered on the rooftop at RSM US LLP in San Francisco for an evening of meaningful connections, thoughtful discussion, and a candid look at what board leadership will demand in the years ahead. A special thanks to Joseph Brusuelas for sharing his perspective on the forces shaping the economy: workforce supply amid Baby Boomer retirements, and immigration disruption, the persistence of 3–4% inflation, the impact of tech, AI, and automation, and the evolving education and employment landscape—including retraining and non-traditional pathways into the workforce. Grateful to the RSM team — Ahmad Ejaz, Taylor Lapsys, Caitlin Joyce, MBA, and Julie Doden-Prichard— for their partnership in making this such a successful event.
