The H&B Defence team will be at the Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition this November.
Our dedicated team will be located across both the stands of our parent organisations, HII and Babcock Australia & New Zealand, conveniently located alongside one another.
We invite you to visit us at #2A42 (Babcock) and #2A34 (HII) to meet our team and learn how we are advancing Australia’s sovereign capabilities in the nuclear-powered submarine program and the Australian Submarine Supplier Qualification (AUSSQ) Pilot Program.
H&B Defence will participate in the upcoming UWA Defence and Security Institute’s 2025 Masterclass Series titled SRF-West 2027 – AUKUS Point Break.
This two-day forum is designed to galvanise action and collaboration across Western Australia to support the delivery of SRF-West 2027, a major milestone under AUKUS Pillar I.
Our Chief Safety, Engineering and Assurance Officer, Ashley Schneider, will be on a panel, sharing her extensive knowledge in nuclear engineering and safety, while our Managing Director, Tim Brown AM, will deliver a keynote address.
This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with industry leaders and explore the critical themes surrounding defence and security in our region.
Mission Technologies President Andy Green joined employees and guests Wednesday for HII’s annual Oktoberfest celebration in Dayton, Ohio.

What happens when hundreds of employees across four continents and dozens of states drop everything on a Saturday to serve their communities?
Magic. Pure magic.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, our Global Day of Caring returns for its sixth year, and Miranda Williams, our organization development manager who's led this from day one, shares what makes this event so special in the video below.
Our Global Day of Caring has created moments like:
🔹Cleaning San Diego beaches alongside employees' families and friends.
🔹Walking for heart health in Newport News to support wellness.
🔹Rolling up sleeves for blood drives to help save lives in emergencies.
🔹Supporting South Korean communities through street cleanups, orphanage visits and animal shelter care.
🔹Packing holiday meals with handwritten notes for veteran families in northern Virginia.
"I get excited about Global Day of Caring," Miranda says from For Kids, where she led a project last year. " Our employees get excited. We care about the warfighter, we care about the community, we care about people."
📍 HII employees: Visit the Global Day of Caring Intranet page to find your local project or submit your own ideas.
Together, we support the warfighter, our communities and each other. 💙🌍
Brad Smith, president and general manager of N3B Los Alamos, participated in a panel discussion with site contractor executives last Wednesday at the National Cleanup Workshop in Arlington, Virginia.
N3B is the HII-led joint venture responsible for managing the Los Alamos legacy cleanup contract for the U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Management’s Los Alamos Field Office.
“We are about protecting the water and the land—not just shipping waste,” Brad said. “Anybody that’s been to Los Alamos—you see these beautiful scenery. You can see San Diego mountain range from Los Alamos. And once you get a feel for that, then you start realizing you have real impact on how you do environmental management, environmental cleanup and protecting the Rio Grande.”
