“I applied to 500 jobs. Got 1 interview.” That line hit me yesterday at Trae’s AI meetup in SF. Not because it was unusual, but because I’ve lived it too. Back before Jobright.ai, I sent out hundreds of resumes. Most never got a reply. Some got an instant rejection. Every once in a while, a recruiter would answer, and I’d pin all my hopes on that one email. The truth is, resumes alone didn’t open doors for me. Cold reach-outs did. Most people ignored me, a few said no. But one “yes” led to my first Microsoft internship. That one chance snowballed into Google, then Twitter, then starting jobright.ai. So when I spoke yesterday, I shared four takeaways I believe will define the future of AI coding and job search: 𝟭. 𝗔𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲. The best engineers aren’t just fast typers anymore. They’re the ones with “taste”, who can prompt well, structure context, and get the most out of AI. 𝟮. 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝟬→𝟭, 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲. It can draft a script in seconds, but large systems break down without strong context engineering. That’s the next frontier. 𝟯. 𝗗𝗲𝘃 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. Smooth experiences cost money. Cursor’s pivot to token-based pricing won’t be the last. Efficiency will separate winners from the rest. 𝟰. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀. Big tech wants seniors. Startups want plug-and-play. Yet it’s new grads who often adapt fastest to AI workflows. That’s why we built Jobright.ai: to help early-career engineers stand out in a system not designed for them. ✅ Verified AI + tech jobs, updated hourly ✅ Resume match score for every posting ✅ Autofill + insider tools to reach hiring managers directly We’re not another job board. We’re building the toolkit I wish I had when I was sending those 500 applications. If you’re just starting your career, I hope this makes the path feel less lonely. And if you’re building or hiring in AI, I’d love to hear your perspective.👇 #Jobright #MeetUp #JobSearch #AI #SanFrancisco
