As Chairman of iHOPE's Board of Trustees, Kevin's kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in our mission made a lasting impact on our entire school. He will truly be missed.
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our CEO, Kevin Carey, following a courageous battle with cancer. Kevin was more than a chief executive; he was a passionate advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and a beloved, dear friend to so many in the YAI community. Since joining YAI in 2016, Kevin’s dedication, compassion, and vision helped shape a stronger, more inclusive future for the people we support. “Kevin was an extraordinary leader, inspiring us all with his unwavering commitment to YAI in building a far better world” said Jeffery Mordos, Chair of YAI’s Board of Trustees. “He will be sorely missed but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.” Our thoughts are with Kevin’s family, friends, and everyone at YAI. 🎓 Congratulations to the iHOPE Class of 2025! 🎓 Today, we celebrated six incredible graduates whose resilience, growth, and spirit inspire us all. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with joy, pride, and community. We’re deeply grateful to our dedicated staff and the families who have supported our students every step of the way. A special thank you to iHOPE Board Member Peter Taback for his thoughtful remarks, and to Kristen Elkins from YAI for joining us on this special day. We are so proud of each graduate and can’t wait to see what comes next in their journeys. 💙 #iHOPEGraduation #ClassOf2025 #SpecialEducation #iHOPECommunity #Gratitude

It was wonderful celebrating our incredible team during Staff Appreciation Week at iHOPE! 💙 One of my favorite moments was hosting a special luncheon for staff members who have been with us for 8+ years. We shared laughs, memories, and stories from the early days — and felt inspired thinking about all that’s ahead. So grateful for the dedication, heart, and commitment of our amazing team. Here's to the past, present, and future of iHOPE! #StaffAppreciation #Teamwork #Gratitude #iHOPE
