  • Through the Doorways to Independence program, ADAPT Community Network provides home modification services and adaptive equipment to persons with disabilities, including those who are deaf, blind, or have low vision. Funding is available to cover the cost of modifications that will improve physical access and safety within the home.   • The second session of the ADAPT Community Network’s 2025 Virtual Family Connect Summit will be “Transitions in Life"    This presentation will cover the process of transition for adult individuals with I/DD and their families, focusing on those transitioning into the post-school years. The adult support service system functions differently than what families may have experienced in working with CPSE/ CSE systems while their children were in school.   • On Thursday, September 18th, ADAPT hosted an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of our brand-new clinic at our Pelham Day Hab Program. This event also marked the official opening of our Day Habilitation and Health Services Center in the Bronx. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this moment possible! In addition, we unveiled the newly renamed Stillwell Campus Pavilion, honoring the life and legacy of our former CEO, Edward Matthews.
