    The demand for homecare is surging — but so are the challenges facing the workforce. A new PHI report shows that between 2024 and 2034, homecare will have more than 6.1 million job openings, driven largely by high turnover and workers leaving the field. For context: the only industry expecting more openings is fast food. Why? Despite incremental wage growth, homecare workers still face low pay, job instability, and economic insecurity—with many relying on public assistance and struggling to cover housing costs.
