The future is a curious thing, but it is not entirely out of our control. The steps we take today, if coordinated and pregnant with purpose, will birth a version tomorrow we can all be proud to be part of. Over the weekend, as part of AIESEC in Nigeria’s International Youth Day 2025 event, I had the opportunity to speak, alongside other seasoned professionals, about how today’s technology can be leveraged to effect real change on a global scale. We discussed Local Youth Action for the SDGs and Beyond, HackerNoon’s community-focused posture and commitment to amplifying the voices of emerging technology thought leaders, and the illusion of “waiting your turn” to take up space in a world that is already ours to impress upon. Many thanks to the AIESEC in Nigeria leadership for having me, and to the brilliant minds—Okonkwo Marycynthia, Angela Onyegbuna, and Boluwatife Ajayi —that I had the privilege of sharing this necessary panel with. #InternationalYouthDay #IYD25 #SDGs #AIESECinNigeria
