  • For the third year in a row FOX was a proud sponsor of U.S.VETS' Camo to Careers Awards Luncheon & Veteran Hiring Fair. This event, held at the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in Los Angeles, helped connect over one hundred job seekers from the military community to companies in Southern California looking to employ veterans and their families. Alongside U.S.VETS, FOX recognizes the immense value, professionalism, and transferable skills veterans bring to the civilian workforce. HR team members from FOX and Tubi were on site, connecting with veterans to help best position them for success and guide them through the application process at FOX and its business units. In addition to the hiring fair, the awards luncheon’s fundraising directly supports U.S.VETS’ critical workforce programs and employment services, including career coaching, access to training and technology, and the supportive services needed to help veterans build successful careers. This partnership also includes the ongoing Career Readiness sessions conducted at the FOX-sponsored U.S.VETS Inglewood career center. #FOXForward

  • FOX leaders took the stage at the Variety Entertainment & Tech Summit in Los Angeles last week, sharing insights on the future of sports, streaming and entertainment.    🎬 FOX TV Network President Michael Thorn joined a lively panel of TV industry heavyweights moderated by Variety Co-Editor Cynthia Littleton, which kicked off Variety's Entertainment and Technology Summit on September 25 in LA. The group of top TV leaders from FOX, NBCU, WBTV, Sony, Starz and Amazon MGM -- the majority of whom are part of FOX Entertainment's ever-growing roster of global creative collaborators -- discussed the latest shifts in streaming and linear strategies. Thorn and his partner at Sony discussed their breakout medical drama Doc and its recent Season One license to Netflix, where the series has already catapulted to the platform's #2 TV Show. Thorn explained, "This is where the spirit of the FOX-Sony partnership is. On that show, we're leveraging our programming strengths and their distribution strengths in the service of one show. More are embracing this idea, where instead of a walled garden, people can win together.”   📺 Later in the day, Fox Entertainment's President of Operations & Strategy Julian Franco joined the dynamic "TV Industry Transformed" panel alongside Variety moderator Jenny Maas and leaders from AMC Networks, Vizio, Netflix, NBCU and Google TV, where the group shared insights on how the industry is strengthening its offerings for audiences and brand partners through improved discoverability, interactivity, and commerce capabilities.   🏆 Rounding out the day, FOX Sports' President of Marketing Robert Gottlieb joined leaders from TelevisaUnivision, Amazon Sports, and the NBA for the “Champions of Sports Culture Across Platforms" panel. Moderated by Jay Tucker, Executive Director of UCLA's Center for Management of Enterprise in Media, Entertainment and Sports, the group examined the intersection of fandom, tech, and evolving viewing habits and how the sports community is creating valuable connections with audiences across platforms.
