🚨 When emergencies come in threes, we still don’t do “𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼” During the 2021/22 outage season, a U.S. utility lost gas-turbine units at three different plants—two in Florida and one in Indiana—within weeks of each other. Our union field-services team mobilized in as little as two days, repaired compressor FOD, hot-section damage and combustion issues, and even shuttled 90 miles between sites to keep work moving. At the second plant, a fire and explosion struck after we’d demobbed; we were back on site in 48 hours, executed a 30-day outage and returned the unit to service—again with zero safety incidents. 🚦 Gas turbine rotors have a finite lifetime. Heavy-duty gas turbine rotors in particular, like the GE Frame 7EA.       ⤵️ Our customer was looking for a life extension option that was low risk, cost-effective, flexible, and minimized downtime. It just so happened we had recently developed the ideal solution, and our customer selected our Phoenix Rotor solution.      Now, four years later, both rotors have been running without any issues.
