Across #Nigeria, a quiet solar revolution is taking hold — from the presidential residence in Abuja to communities like Ifo in Ogun State. As fuel subsidies end and generator costs soar, #solar #minigrids are emerging as a lifeline for homes and small businesses. Through Alliance partnerships with The World Bank, The Rockefeller Foundation Foundation, and local developers like Darway Coast Ltd, these interconnected mini-grids are providing reliable, affordable, and #clean electricity to thousands — reaching traders, shop owners, and farmers who have long faced unpredictable power. In Ifo, shop owner Christiana Okechukwu now runs her business without interruption. “There’s constant light from morning to night — and you can predict when it will come. It’s encouraging,” she said. With an estimated 20GW of interconnected mini-grids possible by 2033, #Nigeria’s #energy transformation is not just about light — it’s about livelihoods, opportunity and resilience. 🔗 Read more: https://ow.ly/34yC50X7Mko #ChangeEnergyChangeLives Fauzia Chevonne O. | KIBITI Benson | Muhammad Wakil, CFA | Financial Times
