At our Plastics Center of Excellence, plant leader Brian Schwarz runs one of the largest injection molding facilities in Kentucky. Operating around the clock across three shifts, this site produces thousands of critical components for the appliances we build. Serving four of our U.S. plants, Brian’s team is focused on precision, quality, and doing it in-house—with 90% of resins sourced from American suppliers. For Brian, this is more than a job. His dad spent 30 years here. His daughter’s now five years in. It’s family. #BuiltForAmerica #GEAppliances #Manufacturing

Another example of how we keep investing in the future of American manufacturing. #BuiltforAmerica
Thank you to IndustryWeek for allowing us to share how we're driving transformative improvements in our lean practices at GE Appliances. This article highlights the impressive initiatives taking place at our LaFayette, GA, plant. We are utilizing ABB robots to automate tasks that are challenging to perform. Additionally, we are employing advanced measuring tools and virtual models to optimize our layout planning. These efforts demonstrate how lean practices and technology can collaborate to enhance the safety, efficiency, and resilience of our operations. Thank you to our LaFayette team and Luther Ingram, our plant manager, for making this vision a reality every day. I am proud to be part of a culture that values continuous improvement and invests in the future of manufacturing. https://lnkd.in/gVSNh5FG

Louisville is on the rise as an American innovation hub and GE Appliances’ Edison Program is a big reason why. For 50 years, Edison has attracted and developed top engineers, doubling our patent portfolio and fueling Kentucky’s role in the U.S. manufacturing renaissance. And just as we’ve invested in talent for decades, we’re investing in America’s future—committing $6.5 billion to our U.S. plants, products, and country since 2016. This week, Mayor Craig Greenberg and Chief Engineer Kyran Hoff recognized our Edisons, including Design Engineer Justin Brolley, a program graduate who shared how Edison shaped his career during our 50th anniversary celebration. Here’s to the next 50 years! 🎉 #GEAppliances #Innovation #Engineering
