About us

There are a billion good intentions tucked inside each and every one of us. At GoFundMe, we believe that the impulse to help a person, fix a neighborhood, or change a nation should never be ignored. In fact, it should be shared with the entire world. That’s why we make it easy to inspire the world and turn your compassion into action. By giving people the tools they need to capture and share their story far and wide, we have built a community of more than 200 million donors and helped organizers raise over $15 billion for the causes important to them—and we are just getting started. Check out current job openings, join our team, and be a part of the change below. ## GoFundMe has assembled one of the best management teams in the business to build the next leading consumer Internet company, including leaders from LinkedIn, Groupon, and Google. We are also funded by some of Silicon Valley’s best venture capital firms, including Accel, Greylock, and TCV.

AI shouldn’t replace human generosity — it should amplify it. That was my message at Nerdearla in Buenos Aires, where I had the chance to share how GoFundMe is leveraging AI to: Accelerate product velocity Solve real customer pain points Help people raise more money, more effectively The future of AI isn’t just about speed or efficiency — it’s about using these tools to strengthen human connection and scale generosity. A huge thank you to the Nerdearla community and our GoFundMe teammates in Argentina. You’re a big part of this journey. 🎥 You can watch the full session now on YouTube: https://bit.ly/4o55kAN

  • ✨ Our very own movie premiered last week at The Impact Lounge! ✨ As Climate Week took over New York City, we showed up with a special activation to spotlight the people who power real change every day: our donors. GoFundMe is home to some of the most inspiring stories in the world. Stories of heroes, hope, love, grit, heartbreak, and triumph. And they're all made possible by one thing: unfathomable generosity. In just one hour in August, 5,922 people made donations on GoFundMe. Our film honored the donors who gave during that hour—August 1, 2025, from 2–3 p.m. Now, imagine the impact of an entire day. 🌍 Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by to experience this activation and celebrate the everyday heroes who make our platform what it is. Let’s keep creating change, together. 💚

  • 🌍 Reimagining Impact: Philanthropy, Technology, and the Future of Aid At Concordia, our CEO Tim Cadogan joined leaders from UNICEF, United Way, and Food for the Hungry, Inc. to explore how philanthropy and technology can come together to meet today’s global challenges. Tim highlighted how trust and immediacy are at the heart of GoFundMe’s work. Over 200 million people and nonprofits have raised more than $40 billion on our platform, fueling urgent needs and long-term resilience alike. 💡 He shared the example of the Los Angeles wildfires: families, small businesses, and responding nonprofits raised over $265 million through GoFundMe. From immediate rent support to food, baby formula, and other essentials—community-led fundraising filled urgent gaps while complementing the work of NGOs and government partners. Tim also emphasized the growing role of collaboration: Working with partners like the American Cancer Society, we’re empowering individuals to raise funds, spread awareness, and inspire action on their behalf. When people rally their personal networks online, it bridges trust and connection at a time when many people have more faith in personal voices than in institutions. As Tim put it: GoFundMe plays a part by enabling people to express what they care about, and rally their communities to act. 🙏 Thank you to moderator Kate Warren and fellow panelists Michael J. Nyenhuis, Mark Viso, and Angela F. Williams, JD, M.Div for such an important conversation. #concordia25 (Photo: Getty Images for Concordia Summit)

GoFundMe Legal was honored with the 2025 Pillars of Inclusion Award from APABA Silicon Valley this weekend! I’m SO grateful to lead a team that champions respect, inclusion, and community — both in our work and in how we show up every day at GoFundMe. Thank you to APABA Silicon Valley for this meaningful recognition, and to the entire GoFundMe Legal team for living our values and setting the standard for what a purpose-driven legal department can be, especially Rory Tank who helped with the submission. #GoFundMe #APABA #PillarsofInclusion #Leadership

  • At this year’s Clinton Global Initiative, our CEO Tim Cadogan shared GoFundMe’s vision for the future of giving. From helping people feel comfortable asking for help, to making charitable tools like Giving Funds more accessible, Tim emphasized how technology can empower us to do something timeless: help one another. Over 200 million people and nonprofits have come together on GoFundMe to raise $40 billion for causes they care about, and we’re just getting started. As Tim put it: “Find a simple way to help someone. It doesn’t have to be big—a smile or a small act can make such a big difference.” 💚 A simple act of generosity—whether a donation, a share, or even a smile—can make a world of difference.

  • One year ago, Hurricane Helene devastated communities across the Southeast. Just days later, Hurricane Milton followed a similar path, striking those still recovering from Helene’s impact. In the aftermath, more than 700,000 people from all 50 states and 140 countries stepped up on GoFundMe—raising over $130 million to help families, small businesses, and frontline nonprofits respond and rebuild. Recovery is still underway. Homes are being repaired, businesses reopened, and nonprofits continue to provide vital aid. This anniversary is both a reminder of the ongoing need—and the incredible power of community 💚 To ensure families can get immediate help after the next storm, donate to GoFundMe.org's Hurricane Relief Fund: https://gfme.co/4gzbvdE Thank you to our nonprofit partners who shared footage from their response to the hurricanes for this video: All Hands & Hearts, Direct Relief, Team Rubicon, Americares, CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), and Wine To Water.

  • This week in New York 🗽 Our CEO Tim Cadogan spoke yesterday at Concordia's Annual Summit, joining the "Reimagining Impact: Philanthropy, Technology, and the Future of Aid" panel. Tim and his co-panelists discussed how innovative funding models, technology, and grassroots leadership are reshaping philanthropy and international aid to build more equitable, resilient systems in the face of global crises and shrinking budgets. We're honored to have participated and look forward to sharing more soon!
