Since 1956, Arc Broward has worked hand-in-hand with our community, changing how people with developmental disabilities and life challenges are embraced and included. This critical work ensures that people with disabilities, not only live, learn, work, and play in their communities, but more importantly, thrive. Arc Broward operates at 10 locations and provides 21 programs throughout Broward County, FL. Arc Broward’s two social enterprises — Arc Educates and Arc Culinary — are groundbreaking efforts to transform the community by providing opportunities for people with disabilities and other life challenges to realize their full potential.   • BREAKING BARRIERS IN HOSPITALITY! Arc Broward is proud to launch “Hospitality with Purpose”. Thanks to $820,050 in state funding, championed by Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez and awarded through FloridaCommerce, this groundbreaking initiative is being developed at the beautiful Chateau Mar Golf Resort in Lauderhill. This 6-month post-secondary certificate program blends classroom learning, hands-on externships, and a paid internship — preparing participants for meaningful careers in hospitality as hotel front desk clerks, housekeepers, banquet servers, bussers, and more.   • 🎓🐾 Big congratulations to our Animal Care Certificate Program graduates: Maya Garcia, Max Katz, and Edgar Rodriguez, who completed their program on September 22, 2025!   Throughout the program, students learned to: * Identify and interpret dog and cat body language * Properly handle, hold, harness, and walk animals * Understand cat- and dog-specific diseases, how they spread, and their treatments * Get certified in Animal First Aid & CPR by the Red Cross * Recognize different cat and dog breeds and their unique characteristics * Train and work with dogs in both single and group settings * Explore various working dogs and their training—including Service Dogs, Emotional Support Animals, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Bomb Detection Dogs, Arson Detection Dogs, and K9 Unit dogs   Students put their learning into action at externship sites including Abandoned Pet Rescue, Broward Animal Care, and Women In Distress.   We're so proud of their hard work and commitment to compassionate, professional animal care. 🐾💙

Her work has earned recognition from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists, and her passion for storytelling is matched only by her commitment to community. Linnie Supall Beyond the newsroom, Linnie is a ballet dancer, mentor, volunteer, and former Miss Palm Beach County USA and Miss Treasure Coast USA.
