Our associates stepped up in a big way for the #SteppingUpForHunger Challenge, surpassing our goal to help those facing food insecurity. We are so grateful for their incredible effort and commitment to walking alongside our community.
I am extremely proud of the way our AAA team has risen to the occasion once again. For our sixth annual Stepping Up for Hunger campaign, we challenged Associates to take 61 million steps over two weeks. If the goal was achieved, our club would contribute 200,000 meals to Feeding America and its network of local food banks. Our Associates crushed the goal, closing the two-week stretch with a final count of 62.4 million total steps! In addition to walking the walk, our Associates volunteered more than 480 hours at local food banks packing food, distributing meals and providing other essential supports to these valuable programs. Over the past six years, Associates have logged more than 249.7 million steps resulting in our contribution of more than 1.2 million meals to area food banks through the Stepping Up for Hunger campaign. I am thankful for our team’s amazing work and dedication to making an impact in the communities where we live and serve our Members. Well done!
