The AAA ECO Employee Resource Group hosted a well attended (In Person and Remotely) Electric Vehicle Lunch & Learn on Wednesday 9/24. The goal was to provide AAA Inc associates with industry information about EV adoption and practical insights from both current and former EV owners. Special thanks to Greg Brannon who was our Industry expert and facilitator, along with Jeremy Davidson, CCXP, Laura Peliwo, MBA, MS, and John White who had each made a change or are contemplating a change in their mode of transportation. I’m on my second EV, and was happy to share why I’ve continued to be on that journey. It was a lot of fun providing a forum for attendees to share perspectives and ask questions. The 60 mins session, could have easily been stretched to 90 mins with the amount of engagement we had. Attendees asked questions that ranged from the economics of owning an EV, range anxiety, recycling of batteries, longevity of EV’s and the list went on. We had a fun activity at the end of our session to help one of our current EV owners decide whether they should stay with their EV, transition to ICE or go to a Plug-in hybrid. For what it’s worth, the group voted, and overwhelmingly decided the Plug-in Hybrid was the way to go. Special thanks to my fellow ECO ERG members Richard Romer, Trounja Baltimore, Kelly Matos and Brittany Moye for all of your support in making this Lunch & Learn reality.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the AAA Leadership Summit!   We kicked off the day with Putting for a Purpose, where colleagues had the chance to connect, explore our diverse business lines, and give back by supporting Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.   Our opening session featured powerful insights from Gene Boehm (CEO), Lee McAllister (Chair, AAA Board of Directors), and Anastasia Martin, PMP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP (Chief People Officer). Keynote speaker Valerie Daniels-Carter (AAA Board of Directors) inspired us to think differently about "intrapreneurship" and challenged us to take ownership of our success.   Throughout the day, we hosted more than 20 sessions and welcomed over 50 speakers. Topics ranged from creative communication strategies to personal leadership journeys, including “Communication is Key, So Let’s Lead with Legos”, led by Julia McLaughlin, Senior Project Manager IT, “Leadership Journeys” led by Heather Snavely, President & CEO, AAA Washington, “Stepping Beyond Comfort Zones” led by Lisa Melton, CPCU, Chief Marketing Officer, AAA Northeast, and “Navigating Inclusive Leadership Through a Minority Lens – Powered by AAA employee resource group, SOUL”. Each conversation reinforced the importance of learning, growing, and leading with purpose.   As the day came to a close, we reflected on key themes of communication, influence, empowerment, and executive leadership journeys. Attendees left feeling energized and ready to carry the momentum forward.   Here’s to the future of leadership at AAA, Inc.!

  • AAA Cares Ambassador team had an incredible day volunteering at Annabel’s Closet! 🦋 Annabel’s Closet is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families in Central Florida rebuild their lives after escaping abusive situations. Through donated furniture and essential household items, they offer a fresh start, completely free of charge. Together, we rolled up our sleeves and helped families begin new chapters. It was a powerful and rewarding experience, and we are honored to support Annabel's Closet's mission. #AAACares #CommunityFirst #GivingBack #AnnabelsCloset
