Cheers to 15 Legendary Years, Kia Center Back in 2007, our community came together to create a vibrant and inspired gathering place in the heart of downtown Orlando so residents could experience the best in sports and live entertainment year-round. This bold vision called for a lasting public asset benefiting the entire community. Kia Center was born out of this historic public-private partnership and today, October 1, marks 15 years since the award-winning arena opened its door for the first time. "Time flies when you're having fun," as the adage goes, is certainly applicable to the amazingly diverse events Kia Center has hosted through its first 15 years, along with the countless lasting memories the arena has delivered as Orlando's gathering place. However, and perhaps more importantly, Kia Center has been an incredibly consistent job creator, economic engine and source of community pride. Hosting more than 3,250 events and welcoming nearly 20 million guests is no small feat; it's a remarkable accomplishment and proof that our community can achieve greatness when we work together.

  • Recruiter Tip 💡: Applying for a government job? It’s not just what you submit — it’s how you submit it. These small details can make or break your application! ✅ Attach all required documents — resume, cover letter, certifications, transcripts (if asked) ✅ Watch for formatting rules — some systems reject PDFs or have file size limits ✅ Answer every supplemental question, even if it feels repetitive ✅ Take your time to review your application before submitting — small errors can make a big difference 📌 Why it matters: In public sector hiring, we often can’t move you forward if your application is incomplete — even if you’re highly qualified. Missing one required field can mean missing the opportunity. Double-check everything before you hit submit — your future self will thank you.

Her dedication, expertise and ability to lead with both strategy and heart make her an incredible asset to our organization and an inspiration to those who work alongside her.
