In meetings with Congress, we highlighted industry priorities, including long-term highway investment, workforce development, safety in work zones, and greater permitting efficiency. This week, our intern stepped out of the office and into action with a visit to one of our asphalt plants. She got an up-close look at the raw materials, saw how asphalt is mixed and loaded, and experienced firsthand what it takes to keep our projects moving. We believe there’s no better way to understand this industry than to be in it. That’s why we give the next generation opportunities to learn directly from the crews and teams building the roads we rely on.
