Oh man ... Day 1 at Data Center World POWER has been a BLAST! So many amazing sessions, great people, and super insightful keynotes. Today, I had the privilege of moderating conversations with Chris Crosby of Compass Datacenters and Woody Rickerson of ERCOT, where we explored how Texas is modernizing its grid while Compass is innovating around power and design to meet AI’s unprecedented demands. I also had a blast with my conversation with Governor Mike Dunleavy. We also dove into Alaska’s untapped potential. I learned SO much about the State of Alaska and how they are leveraging natural cooling, abundant renewables, and strategic resiliency to (literally) become the next frontier for digital infrastructure. With global data centers already consuming more than 460 TWh annually and AI pushing that number higher every year, these weren’t abstract discussions... we really dove into how we power the future of AI responsibly, sustainably, and at scale.
