  • We Make More Smiles as we reimagine a healthier future for all people, their pets and our planet. Last week, Colgate-Palmolive was proud to show up during the UN General Assembly and Climate Week. CP’s Chief Sustainability Officer Ann Tracy, Chief Financial Officer Stan Sutula and other leaders joined global conversations to contribute actionable ideas and consider innovative solutions to address some of the world’s most pressing issues. We kicked off the week with the Water Resilience Coalition, addressing the urgent water crisis affecting 2 billion people worldwide. Together, we’re working to bring clean water and sanitation to more communities—because we know better access means improved, healthier lives – and brighter futures. Next, as the worldwide leader in oral health and with the Colgate brand in more homes than any other, we know oral health is crucially linked to overall health and wellbeing. That’s why we hosted a special event at Goals House during the 80th UN General Assembly. Why it matters: Heads of State and Government met for a high level meeting to set a new vision for the prevention and control of NCDs - including dental caries and periodontal disease. Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program (BSBF) convened 35 subject matter experts to discuss why prioritizing oral health literacy and prevention can drive positive health outcomes around the world. BSBF this year has reached 2 billion children and their families with vital oral health education and care since the program’s founding in 1991. Later in the week, we were inspired to see Ann Tracy moderate a fireside chat with Sanda Ojiambo, UN Assistant Secretary-General, to celebrate 25 years of the UN Global Compact USA. And CP’s Chief Financial Officer Stan Sutula exchanged insights with Andrew Winston on long-term value and the ways sustainability drives resilience and growth—even in the face of today’s global challenges.   • A part of our purpose journey to reimagine a healthier future for all is making an impact in the communities we serve. The Chairman’s Global You Can Make a Difference (YCMAD) Program is one way CP People have made a difference since 1986. One of our global winning teams - Team Asia Pacific Division - identified an oral health care crisis in the Philippines affecting three out of four Filipino children. Team APAC Division team teamed up with dental health professionals and official policy makers to make a difference. Through the efforts of the team they have significantly increased the country's Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® (BSBF) program. The program has set a new standard for oral health literacy in the Philippines and continues help children across the country.     As a global leader in oral health, and with our Colgate brand found in more homes than any other, we understand the importance of a healthy smile. To bring attention to the connection between oral health and overall health and wellbeing, we recently convened a side event during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly at Goals House. The event, "Transforming Global Health, One Smile at Time: Elevating Oral Health in the Fight Against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)," brought together global health experts, policymakers and public and private sector leaders for a roundtable to discuss the link between oral health and overall systemic health. Drawing on insights from Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures (BSBF) program - which recently celebrated reaching 2 billion children and their families since 1991 - the event highlighted the importance of health education, behavior change and cross-sector collaboration to support healthier smiles. The event brought our purpose to reimagine a healthier future for all to life. The vital work of BSBF is only possible through partnership and collaboration. We were honored to convene special guests including Save the Children US, WHO Foundation and the Ministry of Health Kenya to foster a solutions-driven dialogue. We will continue to champion health education and prevention efforts to ensure oral health is recognized as a pillar of overall health and wellbeing.
