We’re pleased to announce Singtel Group’s renewal of our MOU with Union of Telecoms Employees of Singapore (UTES), reinforcing our commitment to workforce transformation and marking a strategic shift towards deepening capabilities in AI. This builds on our previous investments in digital training, beginning with our S$45 million investment in 2019 to enhance digital capabilities through the ACT initiative over three years, and evolving into a boosted, sustained annual investment of S$20 million in employee skilling since 2022. The renewed MOU now aims to Accelerate employee upskilling to build AI, emerging tech, sustainability and power skills, empower employees in Co-creating their own learning pathways through a skills-first approach, and Transform employee roles to ensure a future-ready workforce. This renewed partnership with UTES also complements our efforts to build an AI-ready workforce. To date, some 13,000 or 95% of Singtel Group employees in Singapore have undergone training in areas such as generative AI, data analytics and responsible AI use. Our aim is for all our employees to be AI-trained, with 3,000 as AI practitioners and 300 as AI specialists.    Singtel Group Chief Executive Officer, Kuan Moon Yuen, said, “AI is transforming the way we live and work, and even redefining what jobs will look like in the future. That’s why we’re moving just as fast to prepare our people for this change. This MOU reflects our unwavering commitment to helping everyone at Singtel to learn, grow and thrive in an age of accelerated change. To be truly AI-ready, we’re putting skills first, empowering our people to build the critical capabilities they need, with technology as their trusted co-pilot. By learning how to make the most of AI, our people will be able to seize new opportunities with confidence, make smarter decisions and play a leading role in driving sustainable growth for the business and for themselves.” Find out more about the MOU and our digital training initiatives here: https://lnkd.in/gCHxkDWF   #AI, #Transformation, #Learning

Singtel Charity Golf, our biggest fundraising event, has raised a record sum of S$1.54 million for the Singtel Touching Lives Fund! Held at the Singapore Island Country Club this year, representatives from our business partners, NCS Group and regional associates AIS, Globe Telecom and Telkomsel came together to support six special education schools that are empowering special needs students to lead independent and meaningful lives. Kuan Moon Yuen, Singtel’s Group CEO said, “Singtel Charity Golf continues to grow from strength to strength in its 23rd year. After record-breaking contributions in 2023 and 2024, we are proud to have once again hit a new high this year, raising a record $1.54 million. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering generosity of our business partners who have helped to make this possible. Through the Singtel Touching Lives Fund, we have been able to touch the lives of many children and youth since 2012. We intend to keep up our support with our pledge of S$10 million over three years from 2025 to 2027 to beneficiary schools as part of our commitment to create sustainable impact and a more inclusive future for all.” The post-event dinner provided an opportunity to celebrate the students’ talent and growth. APSN Delta Senior School students put their skills from F&B training into practice by serving guests food and drinks, while students from APSN Chaoyang School put on a lively musical performance with desk bells. A charity auction, featuring items such as an art piece by a student from MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School, saw good-spirited participation from guests with all proceeds going to the Singtel Touching Lives Fund. Meet Steele Baker, a 5G Network Engineering intern who played a meaningful role in safeguarding customer's digital space. Here's how he did it at Singtel. 👇 Steele join us from The University of Western Australia through the Management Associate Internship Programme. Right from the start, he was immersed in diverse projects that gave him a holistic view of network engineering. One of his proudest moments was working Mobile Protect, a cybersecurity solution that safeguards customer's digital spaces. This experience gave his internship a strong sense of purpose and accelerated his professional growth. What Steele valued most was Singtel’s strong learning culture. With a supportive team and access to additional courses, he was able to bridge what he learned in school with hands-on, real-world network engineering experience. 💡 Want to follow in Steele’s footsteps? We are paying tribute to 60 years of progress in Singapore with our annual National Day film – ‘Majulah Singapura’ or Onward Singapore – titled after Singapore’s national anthem and a rallying cry to all citizens to move forward into the future together. The film illustrates how much the iconic National Day Parade has changed, and in doing so, highlights how far Singapore and its people have come, and how communications technology has been instrumental in driving that progress. Our Group CEO Kuan Moon Yuen said, “This film celebrates Singapore’s remarkable progress – how a little red dot with limited land and resources has established itself as a global city-state with an innovation DNA. We are honoured to be part of the Singapore story, working in lockstep with government and the private sector to develop the communications technology and digitalisation that have been critical in driving Singapore’s economic development, allowing us to establish ourselves as an international business hub and one of Asia’s most successful economies. Looking ahead, we remain committed to building world-class connectivity, digital infrastructure and digital services that will fuel growth and collaboration not just for Singapore, but across the region.” “Our National Day parade celebration is one of the most anticipated events in the national calendar and virtually a symbol of how much we’ve changed. Just as Singapore has evolved through the years, so too has the Parade and the way we participate in it, making it a powerful way to tell the story of how our lives have been profoundly transformed by technology,” shared Lian Pek, Singtel’s Vice President of Group Strategic Communications and Brand. “Innovations like 5G+ and AI will provide the ink for our next chapter, and we at Singtel are honoured to be empowering both consumers and enterprises to harness them to thrive in the years to come.” Watch the full film below to find out how Singtel is supporting the event as a key communications technology provider, and how the same 5G+ network ensuring seamless connectivity at the Parade is being tapped to position Singapore as a leading digital nation and a sandbox for global innovation. #Singtel #EmpowerEveryGeneration #SG60 #National

At the Public Service Transformation Convention earlier this week, our Group CEO Kuan Moon Yuen spoke about Singtel’s and Singapore’s intertwined journeys, and how we’re navigating disruptions like AI by turning them into opportunities. At the event, he shared that, “From telecommunications infrastructure to digital infrastructure, Singtel has worked in lockstep with the government to turn Singapore into the smart nation it is today - empowering Singaporeans to thrive in this digital era. We should not fear technological disruption. Together, we have proven that we are more than capable of being the ones to shape our digital future.” The Public Service Transformation Convention focused on the theme of navigating change in an increasingly complex world, and Moon spoke to an audience of over 1,000 public officers about Singtel’s own evolution in recent years. This included our strategic reset in 2021 as well as a major rethink of our processes, people and culture to be able to leverage AI as a growth driver.
