Role Description
Full-time remote role for a Software Engineering/Development Manager. The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the engineering team, managing software development projects, and ensuring successful project integration. The manager will also lead daily stand-ups, facilitate team collaboration, review code, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including performance management and career growth.
7+ years of hands-on experience working directly within software engineering teams.
3+ years of experience designing or architecting scalable and reliable systems, including applying design patterns to new and existing systems.
5+ years of experience leading the definition, development, and delivery of multi-tier web services.
Strong knowledge of engineering best practices across the full software/hardware/network development lifecycle, including:
Coding standards
Code reviews
Source control management
Build and release processes
Testing and certification
Live-site operations
Bachelors of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering, or Information Technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven ability to communicate effectively with users, cross-functional technical teams, and senior leadership to:
Gather and clarify requirements
Define software product features
Describe technical designs and architecture
Contribute to long-term product strategy
Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching software engineers to improve skills and productivity.
Demonstrated success in building high-performance engineering teams and fostering a collaborative culture.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities with a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with Agile or other iterative development methodologies.
Experience in integration projects or leading cross-team initiatives is a plus.
