Happy New Year to the entire Israeli game development community! The new year is a time to hope and wish – for the swift return of all the hostages to their homes, full recovery for the wounded, comfort for the bereaved families, and for all of Israel’s fallen to be brought to burial in the land. We embrace the families, send deep gratitude to the IDF soldiers, and honor the reservists who bear the heavy burden. May this be a year of security, stability, peace, and prosperity for us all. And within all this, let’s begin with a recap of the past year, which was particularly meaningful for GameIS. Together we accomplished: Hosting the GameIS 2025 conference. Launching a support program for meetups. Launching a new website. Establishing an Israeli games pavilion as part of Sparks Tel Aviv, in collaboration with local communities. Hosting a short-talks evening at Ludo. Hosting a special webinar with Neil Druckmann and Ken Levine for Israeli game creators. Sending an Israeli delegation to an international conference – GameSummit in Azerbaijan. Supporting all Global Game Jam sites and launching a central GameIS site in partnership with Unity. Organizing the “Jamamad” Game Jam. And more. But we’re only getting warmed up. In the coming year, we set the following goals: Strengthening ties and increasing collaboration with leading companies in the Israeli games industry. Promoting and formalizing the recognition of the Israeli game industry as a significant industry in the economy. Establishing a data collection system to provide a reliable, up-to-date picture of the industry in Israel. Strengthening connections with international industries and ensuring Israeli representation at global events. Creating fundraising programs for independent creators. Continuing to improve workflows and infrastructure to increase transparency, efficiency, and engagement. We close with thanks to everyone who has been part of the journey – volunteers, creators, companies, partners, and community members. The new year marks a milestone – and we invite you to be part of the vision: building together a strong, creative, and thriving future for the Israeli game industry.

GameIS launches the Community Meetup Support Program! We believe that the true strength of the Israeli gaming industry lies first and foremost in its people. The creators, developers, musicians, designers, and producers who come together, learn from one another, and build connections. That’s why we created the Community Meetup Support Program: an initiative designed to empower anyone who wants to organize a community gathering in the field. You submit a request, get approval, and receive reimbursement for event expenses. It’s our way of helping you promote community meetups that bring everyone together and move the industry forward. All the details, including the application form, are waiting for you here: https://lnkd.in/d3MKfm6Q
