Google Analytics guided tours

About guided tours

Guided tours introduce you to new features and walk you through important workflows in the Analytics interface. If a tour is available on a page, you can view it by clicking the question mark icon in the top right of Google Analytics.

Tips for taking a tour:

  • Follow the instructions; if you click anywhere on the screen other than where prompted, the tour may end.
  • You can move tour steps out of the way by clicking and dragging the box.

Below, find several tours grouped by category.  Read the introduction for information about requirements for each tour to work correctly. Take note of where each tour will open: 

  • Many of the tours open in your own Analytics account, specifically, the property you most recently accessed.  Check which property you've selected and that you have the appropriate permissions and settings for a given tour to work.
  • Some tours will open in the Google Analytics demo account
