About guided tours
Guided tours introduce you to new features and walk you through important workflows in the Analytics interface. If a tour is available on a page, you can view it by clicking the question mark icon in the top right of Google Analytics.
Tips for taking a tour:
- Follow the instructions; if you click anywhere on the screen other than where prompted, the tour may end.
- You can move tour steps out of the way by clicking and dragging the box.
Below, find several tours grouped by category. Read the introduction for information about requirements for each tour to work correctly. Take note of where each tour will open:
- Many of the tours open in your own Analytics account, specifically, the property you most recently accessed. Check which property you've selected and that you have the appropriate permissions and settings for a given tour to work.
- Some tours will open in the Google Analytics demo account.

Link your Google Ads account This tour requires administrative access to a Google Ads account.
Audiences and remarketing
Optimally target your advertising using audiences and remarketing. These tours require Editor or Admin permission, and will open in your account on the most recently accessed property.
Reporting and analysis tools
Understand how users find and engage with your website or app by using different Analytics reports and tools. Except for the first tour (Annotations), these tours will open in the Google Analytics demo account.
Annotations This tour will open in the property you most recently accessed.
The following tours will open in the Google Merchandise Store demo account:
