Benjamin's README

Hi! My name is Benjamin, but I generally go by Benj. If not Benj, I'd rather be called Benjamin than Ben or Benji. I am based in the North of France which is where I'm from, but I've lived abroad (UK, Canada) and elsewhere in France for a few years before coming back here. Most of my career before GitLab has been spent in the Cybersecurity field. I started by being a Network and Security Engineer for a big retail company, before moving to the vendor side where I've had technical, sales and management positions.

My role at GitLab

At GitLab I am a Customer Success Engineer. I help GitLab's customers in EMEA with training and enablement, making sure they make the most of their GitLab subscription. If you're an Account Executive at GitLab and your customer(s) need help, you should create a CSE help request to help us take care of them and track the work we'll do with them. If you are a GitLab customer and need help, please reach out to your Account Executive to understand how we can best help you.

Best way to reach me

Internally, Slack is my go-to. I work well with emails as well, and have a preference for async communication and work. But I'm also happy to have a meeting if it's more efficient.

• I have a Wolf Chronotype, i.e., I'm not a morning person. Please avoid booking a meeting before 10:00 AM if it can be avoided
• To work efficiently I need the work and history to be tracked somewhere. I'm always happy to help but I need a scope and clear objectives
• I don't like joining meetings at the last minute if I wasn't able to prepare anything and I'm expected to contribute. I value my time and the time of people I work with, and therefore prefer to have time to gather information that will allow me to positively impact the meeting.
