After 3.0.1

There will be no 1.8.x release, 1.9 may be released at some point in the future, and from what I've read, there won't be any more releases after this since they'll follow a "Live at head" philosophy.
So maybe fix to commit and have a nightly/weekly/monthly which uses the current master?
