What I’ve seen in most projects is that teams almost always use email rather than email_address as the column name. email is shorter, clearer, and more commonly understood in practice.

Personally, I would prefer renaming email_address to email in the generated authentication schema and model for consistency with real-world usage. Over the past 11 years, across 15+ production applications, I don’t recall any team using email_address.
