Types are usually wrong, e.g.:

Also the 1.13 version allows for transactions, which in my experiments did not work with using sqlite.
Also it seemed that if a fault was raised between connect and close the changes was not saved, as if a transaction was used internally.

Maybe someone @maintainers can give some insight into these issues?
