I don't want to delete the license just because it expired and is not longer valid. I want to keep it for the records but want to see it expire when expiration or termination date has passed.

Something similar to "archive" for assets.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Only alternative is delete it or name it loud and clear its not a valid license. (Crossgraded to another license ID)

Additional context
Maybe consider to allow license available to be 0. That wasn't allowed.
