There have been a few bugs reported in v2.10.0 (some of which have been in Git for Windows before that version).
Let's wait a little, just in case we find more things we really need to fix as soon as possible, and release a new version soon (so that the Git for Windows maintainer can lay a little low during the second half of September).
[EDIT:]
Let's wait a little longer. The bugs identified and fixed after v2.10.0 turn out to be not all that crucial, and we may get a new Git Credential Manager version soon, anyway. To that end, I cleared the due date.
[UPDATE:]
Seems upstream is getting slowly to the point where v2.10.1 is to be released. So let's coordinate around that release.
[FINAL UPDATE:]
Upstream released v2.10.1, and the due date for Git for Windows to follow suit is today.
