It looks like we're missing some important information to help debug your issue. Would you mind providing us with the following details in a reply?

• The programming language you are working in (e.g. JavaScript, Python).
• A request ID that triggered your error or issue.

If you send us raw audio and use a new model like nova-3 we might be able to handle it for you as Deepgram’s newer models are fairly robust to background noise. If the environment is not too noisy, you might not need preprocessing at all.

There are also options to pre-process your audio and clean it up, tools like :

• ffmpeg has built-in filters like arnndn (neural network denoiser) or afftdn (spectral noise reduction).
• Use Python + noisereduce (if you’re preprocessing in code)
⚡ Recommendation: If you’re already in a pipeline (Python, Node, or shell), ffmpeg with afftdn is the lightest solution. If you want higher quality and don’t mind some CPU cost, Python noisereduce is good.
