I discovered some data that stopped me in my tracks this week: most organizations are not ready for AI. And there’s a relatively simple reason for it. New global research from OpenText and the Ponemon Institute shows a startling gap is emerging when it comes to information management: ✅73% of CIOs and CISOs say reducing information complexity is essential to being AI-ready. ✅Less than half feel confident they can measure the ROI of managing information securely. Leaders seem to see the potential of AI, but most lack the governance, security, and alignment needed to deploy it responsibly. I’ve seen this time and time again. Information readiness is the missing foundation. I highly recommend reading the full study here: https://lnkd.in/gy8DC8Gd #AI #InformationManagement #DataGovernance

  • AI doesn't live alone. Alex Wang offers her take on the gap noted in our recent research with Ponemon Institute that showed IT leaders believe in AI... as long as there's a system of governance, context and security to go with it.

Learn AI Together - I share my learning journey into AI & Data Science here, 90% buzzword-free. Follow me and let's grow together!

AI is never standalone. We don’t just 'build AI', we architect a system and let AI sit inside it. And by “system,” I mean: Clean data. Strong governance. Having a scalable foundation. The new OpenText + Ponemon Institute survey found: - 73% of IT and security leaders say reducing information complexity is key to AI readiness. - Yet fewer than half have done the groundwork—things like securing data or validating AI outputs. It’s a classic case of ambition outpacing foundation building. Companies are deploying AI on fragmented, ungoverned data, building towers without a solid base. From my perspective, this gap is where the real story of enterprise AI lies: not in the model you choose, but in whether your information infrastructure can actually support it. That’s what separates experiments from enterprise success. 📖 Read the full study here: https://lnkd.in/g9577Q-u #AI #Data #OpenTextResearch #InformationManagement
