Telerik UI for Blazor

Roadmap

Coming in 2025

Our last major release will be the November Q4 release. In addition to the major releases, we will continue to deliver incremental improvements through our 6-week release cadence.

Our team is excited to announce the roadmap for new components and features on our list for the last two major releases.

Your feedback is a huge factor in these plans. After all, our mission is to make your life easier. We encourage you to keep sharing your thoughts, plans, and ideas for what next you would like to see developed in the Kendo component library in our dedicated Blazor feedback portal.

The items below are what we feel comfortable announcing, but there is more on our radar. Check back periodically for updates.

Telerik UI for Blazor

New Conversational (Chat) UI Component

New component

In 2025 Q3 we introduced the Chat Component - built to power the next generation of real-time, intelligent, and flexible communication experiences. This component reimagines conversational interfaces from the ground up to support both human-to-human and human-to-AI interactions with a modern, extensible design.

At the heart of this new component is Prompt Mod - a specialized capability designed for seamless Large Language Model (LLM) integration. Prompt Mode enables contextual memory handling via events, formatted AI responses (including code blocks, markdown, and HTML), real-time token tracking, response interruption with a stop button, and styled quick-suggestions like “Summarize” or “Fix grammar.”

The component is a comprehensive foundation for building chat-driven applications that are AI-ready, real-time, and globally scalable.

Q4 and moving forward, we will focus on refinements that position our Chat UI as the most polished and competitive on the market. Key updates include improved message bubbles with improved timestamp placement and dynamic border-radius adjustments based on message order, plus an in-bubble typing indicator to show when participants are actively responding. We’re also improving attachment handling and scrolling for a smoother experience, and enriching chat views with time-break markers (e.g., “Today,” “Yesterday,” specific dates), a customizable empty-chat template for welcome content, scrollable suggestions when the list grows long, and visual user-status indicators. Together, these enhancements create a more seamless, engaging, and modern chat experience.

AI Coding Assistant

Improvement

We’ve introduced the   AI Coding Assistant earlier this year - a powerful new tool that brings unprecedented productivity to your development workflow. Purpose-built and trained specifically on the Telerik UI for Blazor component library, this assistant delivers production-ready code that adheres to our component APIs and best practices, minimizing the need for manual corrections. Whether you’re working in GitHub Copilot or an MCP-enabled editor like Cursor, the assistant intelligently understands your intent and generates high-quality, accessible, and design-consistent UI code.

Integrated into both the GitHub Copilot Extension and the MCP Server, the assistant adapts to your environment: the Copilot extension is ideal for quick guidance and smaller snippets with contextual explanations, while the MCP server excels at handling advanced prompts with complex, multi-step responses. With this AI-powered tool, developers can focus more on building great apps and less on boilerplate, bug-fixing, or searching documentation—dramatically accelerating the development cycle across all skill levels.

Q4 and moving forward, we are continuously enhancing the AI Coding Assistant based on user feedback, ongoing testing, and the latest AI advancements. Our goal is to make it even smarter, faster, and more reliable, so you can focus on building great applications while the assistant takes care of the heavy lifting.

This is part of our long-term commitment to bringing AI-powered innovation into Telerik for Blazor, helping developers achieve more with less effort and setting the foundation for the future of intelligent application development.

AI-Powered Grid Features

New feature

We’re expanding our AI-Powered Grid Features - a suite of intelligent enhancements designed to turn dense data tables into intuitive, conversational experiences. Without changing your existing markup, users will be able to issue plain-language commands, typed or spoken, to perform advanced actions: from sorting, filtering, and highlighting records to managing selections and performing column-level operations like resizing, pinning, hiding, and reordering.

This release focuses on removing friction when exploring large datasets, enabling faster insights through natural, self-guided interactions. The Grid becomes a powerful, AI-driven tool that empowers both technical and non-technical users to manipulate and understand data effortlessly, without wrestling with complex UIs, manual configurations, or lengthy queries.

Support for .NET 10 Official Release

New feature

Telerik UI for Blazor will fully support the official .NET 10 release. Our team is committed to ensuring seamless compatibility from day one, delivering a smooth upgrade path for developers, and taking full advantage of all performance, tooling, and framework improvements introduced in .NET 10.

New Diagram Component

New component
We’re excited to announce the upcoming addition of a brand-new Diagram component, bringing powerful diagram modeling capabilities to the suite for the first time. This highly anticipated component is designed to support the creation of workflow, process, org chart, and many more diagrams, empowering developers to visually represent business logic, system flows, and organizational structures with ease. The initial release will include a rich library of professionally designed out-of-the-box shapes tailored for various scenarios. In addition to these core features, the component will be built with modern rendering and interaction patterns to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience. This marks a major expansion of the suite’s capabilities, opening new possibilities for building rich, interactive, and data-driven applications.

New Speech-to-Text Button Component

New component

We are introducing a new Speech-to-Text Button component: a reusable UI element that integrates voice input capabilities into web applications with minimal effort. Voice input is becoming an important interaction method in modern web applications, improving accessibility, increasing productivity, and allowing hands-free workflows. Designed to fit seamlessly into forms, chat inputs, search fields, or any prompt interface, it enables users to dictate text or prompts in one click and allows developers to customize behavior and styling as necessary.

AI Prompt Component Improvements

Improvement

The AI Prompt component will be enhanced with new capabilities aimed at improving user interaction and output control. A new Response Formatting feature will introduce structured output handling through a set of customizable events, enabling seamless integration with third-party libraries for tailored response presentation. Additionally, the component will integrate with the upcoming Speech-to-Text module, allowing users to input prompts via voice for a more natural and accessible experience. A Stop Response feature will also be introduced within the text area, giving users the ability to interrupt response generation in real time, offering greater control and responsiveness during AI interactions.

Inline AI Prompt Component

New component

Adding a brand-new Inline AI Prompt component will enable developers to embed lightweight, context-aware AI interactions directly within forms, editors, and data grids. This component provides a seamless input experience where users can invoke AI suggestions inline—without disrupting their workflow—using predefined triggers or natural language prompts. Developers will benefit from flexible API integration with any LLM backend and customizable prompt templates. Designed for fast rendering and low memory footprint, this component helps accelerate productivity features such as smart autocompletion, contextual explanations, content rewriting, fixing grammar, translating text, polishing formatting, and much more inside any business application.

TabStrip: Dynamic Tabs Support

New feature
We are extending the TabStrip component with dynamic tab capabilities. This enhancement will allow developers to add, remove, and update tabs at runtime based on user interaction or application logic. The improved API will support full control over the tab collection, making the TabStrip more flexible for scenarios such as user-driven navigation, dynamic content loading, and configuration-based tab generation.
