ARL SOAR/Open D.O.O.R. Alumni

Now known as the Summer Opportunities in Applied Research (SOAR) Program, the ARL Open Diversity Outreach Opportunities in Research (DOOR) Program began in 1997 to give underrepresented minorities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors an opportunity to come to the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State and have a hands-on, real, and relevant research experience with ARL’s engineers and scientists. Today, this internship continues to provide first-hand experiences to students and recent graduates in STEM and enterprise fields, furthering their professional and academic opportunities. U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at ARL
