Let’s go!

Play by Play

We’ve open-sourced our go-to-market playbook to help everyone sell smarter and win faster. Each month, we share one of these proven plays, including their description, triggers, actions, and message templates.

Play: General News Signal

When something significant happens with a prospect, like a new facility opening, an office relocation, or company-wide layoffs, your sales and marketing teams should quickly reach out to new buying groups.

The downside? Tracking company news from a million different sources can be difficult and time-consuming.

This play simplifies the whole process by using ZoomInfo’s Scoops feature with automated triggers and actions to help you stay up to date. Instead of manually adding contacts to campaigns and lists, you’ll be able to stay focused on fostering customer relationships, prospecting sales, and closing deals.

Triggers

  • Identify news signals within specific category types for your ICP

Actions

  • Filter companies to meet specific criteria based on news category

  • Source expanded set of contacts which meet your persona definition mapped to each news category

  • Send records to your CRM

  • Assign to an Account Owner

  • Enroll in General News Campaign

The AI Watercooler

Here’s some news from around the web that caught our attention:

AI: The New Preventative Medicine?

Move over, Dr. House. Scientists just cracked the code on medical fortune-telling with an AI called Delphi-2M that can forecast disease risk over the next 10 years. The system analyzes medical records to predict probability percentages for over 1,000 conditions: think weather forecasting, but instead of "70% chance of rain," you get "70% chance of developing diabetes."

After testing on 2.4 million people across the UK and Denmark, the predictions proved remarkably accurate. The real breakthrough is catching high-risk patients years before symptoms appear, giving doctors time for preventive treatment.

Zoom Lets Your AI Twin Handle the Meeting

Zoom is rolling out photorealistic AI avatars, letting you attend meetings as a polished digital version of yourself when you're having a bad hair day. Upload a photo, and the system creates an AI clone that tracks your real movements and can be "dressed" in professional outfits.

In a step up from Zoom's current prerecorded avatar feature, your AI clone can participate in live meetings while you stay off-camera. They're also launching real-time voice translation in nine languages and an upgraded AI assistant that can join meetings on other platforms. Finally, a real solution for bedhead.

Salesforce’s New Big Lead: Uncle Sam

Salesforce just created an entire business unit, Missionforce, to chase government AI contracts, targeting defense agencies with solutions for personnel, logistics, and decision-making. It's part of a bigger trend in tech: OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google are all rolling out dirt-cheap government AI offerings this year.

For B2B companies, the message is clear: there's serious money in solving operational headaches with AI.
