Panoptica Gets a Boost
The latest AI-based enhancements for Panoptica will help customers build a complete Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solution.
Smart Cloud Detection & Response (CDR): Panoptica’s Smart CDR gives security teams a head start by continuously monitoring security events, detecting threats in real time, and promptly notifying security teams. Most competitors stop at threat detection, but we go further, stitching these threats together to describe the attacker’s intent. Smart CDR also aims to reduce the overall noise and allows security teams to focus on the real issues.
GenAI Dynamic Remediation: Panoptica’s GenAI Dynamic Remediation derives customized, targeted remediations based on the entire security risk context presented by the Attack Path Analysis engine and provides step-by-step instructions on how to apply the controls using CLI, Code Snippets, and Terraform changes tailored to the unique characteristics of each attack path. Panoptica integrated GPT-4 with our graph engine, enabling it to present users with in-depth, tailored remediations for each detected attack path, including remediation guidance tailored to each of the critical points of infiltration: network exposure, workload at risk, and identity exposure.
Security Graph Query: This integration in Panoptica’s CNAPP offering allows users to create, manage, and enforce security policies directly from the Security Graph Query Builder and Query Library. The feature is a comprehensive search and visualization tool that aggregates data across multiple cloud providers, code repositories, APIs, SaaS applications, and Kubernetes clusters. The goal is to streamline policy creation, improve security compliance, and make policy management more efficient and data-driven.
Code & CI/CD Security: Expands code security through integrations with leading security configuration management solutions (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps) providing security for code and CI/CD tools.
Outshift Accelerates Its Advancements in Quantum
Meet the new Head of Quantum Research, Reza Nejabati: In March 2024, Reza Nejabati joined Outshift as Head of Quantum Research. Leading the development of Cisco’s Quantum Research Lab, Nejabati is tasked with bridging the gap between quantum and traditional networking and computing. Before joining Cisco, he served as a Chair Professor of Networks and Head of the High-Performance Network Group in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol, UK. Beyond research and implementing his vision for the Quantum Network, Reza enjoys skiing, listening to classical music, and collecting vinyl.
Now Open—Cisco Quantum Labs in Santa Monica, CA: The Cisco Quantum Lab, part of Cisco Research, develops technologies in the areas of quantum networking and security. This facility will host scientists and engineers conducting research and developing software and hardware prototypes.
