Senior Vice President - Global Sales & Marketing


JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective

The Senior Vice President of MGC Diagnostics Global Sales and Marketing is a member of the executive management group responsible for overall strategic planning, implementation and success of global sales, marketing and service strategy.


This position is responsible for directing and overseeing the sales, marketing and product management operations for the organization. Additional responsibilities include determining new business distribution in cardio-respiratory health management and related markets; Analyze and direct international distributor sales efforts for the pulmonary, cardiology, primary care, wellness and education markets to ensure revenue targets are met on a monthly basis; Design and implement sales incentive and technical support plans which are a catalyst for high sales performance resulting in successfully meeting the company's profit and revenue goals; Optimize pricing strategies to ensure the attainment of corporate profitability objectives;

  • Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies and programs that create demand, generate revenue, and help the organization meet profitability goals.
  • Assesses current and potential markets and develops targeted positioning, branding, or messaging.
  • Establishes territories, sales quotas, and incentive plans for the sales team.
  • Tracks actual performance against expectations and modifies sales or marketing strategies in response.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination
  • Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Develop policies, practices, and procedures within sales, marketing and product management that have a significant impact on the organization
  • Integrate and match the company's technology base with the broadest and most profitable market.
  • Present accurate forecast data for operations to schedule build to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintains compliance with ISO-9001, EN46001, the EMC Directive, the Medical Device Directive (MDD) and other FDA and QSR requirements.


Supervisory Responsibility

Domestic and International Sales Organization, Worldwide Marketing Organization and Product Management.

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting and occasional crawling.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional heavier lifting.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling and handling of materials.


Travel

Business travel by plane or car. Travel up to 50% to include some weekends.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing or business discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales with 5 or more in a management position.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to arrive at appropriate conclusion utilizing compromise, persuasion, rationale and diplomacy.
  • Ability to develop and mentor others.
  • Ability to drive strategic direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Responds purposefully in all situations. Readily exhibits a sense of personal empowerment; has confidence in ability to influence and create positive changes.
  • Proficiency with computer information management systems; data collection and management along with other electronic media.
  • Polished and professional demeanor. Skilled negotiator.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • MBA.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of MGC Diagnostics systems, with in-depth knowledge of the features, benefits, and clinical value as they relate to cardiopulmonary health management.
  • Knowledge of cardiopulmonary/gas exchange physiology and pathophysiology.
