Sr. Medical Editor (AMA)

Our client, a pharmaceutical advertising agency is seeking Medical Editors to support their medical communications team on a part-time, freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in medical editing and be highly proficient in AMA style. This role requires availability during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

• Rate: $40-50/hr range
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread a variety of medical and scientific content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to AMA style
• Ensure accuracy of scientific terminology and data presentation
• Collaborate with medical writers, designers, and project managers to maintain high editorial standards
• Perform quality control checks on slide decks, manuscripts, reports, and other medical communications
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical editing
• Strong command of AMA Manual of Style
• Experience in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or healthcare settings preferred
• Ability to work 25–30 hours per week during EST business hours
