Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Purpose of Position: The senior accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Key Responsibilities: Review all general ledger transactions and ensure proper recording on a monthly basis Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures Assist the CFO with management of all grants Prepare monthly account reconciliations Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Assist the CFO with monthly financial statement preparation and supporting schedules to ensure deadlines are met Analyze financial data monthly and report variances Support budget and forecasting activities Collaborate with the other departments to support overall goals and objectives of the Organization Work with the CFO to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department Assist CFO with documentation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards as well as federal and state requirements Support CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements and other related duties as required Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP
