Robert Half is in search of a Solution Architect – Enterprise Systems

The Solution Architect serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams, ensuring solutions are well-defined, scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards. This remote role enables the rapid, high-quality development of key business solutions across the organization for candidates based anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

The Solution Architect will:

  • Technical Roadmap Development: Collaborate with senior management to design and implement a technology strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Architecture Design: Develop and oversee the creation of high-quality architecture and design for IT systems and solutions.
  • Non-Functional Requirements Ownership: Define and drive implementation of technical requirements such as resilience, performance, and security for critical IT initiatives, working closely with product teams.
  • Solution Evaluation: Assess existing and proposed technologies, processes, and systems to ensure alignment with business needs and technology strategy. This includes building prototypes and performing hands-on evaluations to validate feasibility.
  • Technology Integration: Manage the integration of new technologies into existing systems, ensuring compatibility, performance, and security.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, product managers, business analysts, and development teams to ensure seamless alignment between business goals and technical implementations.
  • Optimization and Innovation: Continuously identify opportunities to optimize IT environments and implement innovative solutions and methodologies.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience with a wide range of enterprise technologies, including ERP, CRM, application development frameworks, cloud computing, infrastructure/networking, databases, integration solutions, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate complex business challenges into effective technical solutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term technology strategies that are flexible, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and drive collaboration.
  • Proactive problem-solving with a focus on risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring technical staff to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Experience in global or matrixed organizations is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in architecting and supporting enterprise-grade technology solutions across the software development lifecycle.
  • 4+ years of experience building technology roadmaps, delivering architecture/design artifacts, and conducting technology selection and prototyping at an enterprise level.
  • Hands-on expertise in multiple technical disciplines, including custom development, packaged software implementations, databases, infrastructure, and integration tools.
  • Strong experience with the Azure Data services ecosystem (Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, MS Fabric, SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Logic Apps). Equivalent AWS or GCP experience is also considered.
  • Experience with industry platforms such as Salesforce, ERP systems (SAP, JDE, PeopleSoft), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Deep knowledge of Agile/DevOps principles and tooling.
  • Project and/or people leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience building AI/ML solutions is a plus.
  • Platform certifications are desirable, including Salesforce.com, Workday, and cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
