Role Overview

As a Social Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in crafting visually compelling and engaging content across various social media platforms. Your creative vision and expertise in social strategy and design will be instrumental in driving brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty among our target audience.

Responsibilities

Creative Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Brand and cross-functional partners to develop creative strategies aligned with brand and business objectives.
  • Own the social media roadmap and share it with the team and VP of Brand.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure our content remains fresh, competitive, and exciting.

Content Creation

  • Conceptualize and execute high-quality visual content for social media platforms, including but not limited to still photography, graphics, illustrations, animations, and videos.
  • Ensure all content maintains brand consistency while pushing the brand forward.

Social Campaign Execution

  • Lead the execution of social media campaigns, from ideation to implementation, ensuring all visual elements resonate with the target audience and drive desired actions.
  • Work closely with copywriters, photographers, videographers, and other team members to deliver cohesive and impactful social content.

Platform Optimization

  • Optimize visual content for different social media platforms, considering each platform's unique requirements, formats, and best practices.
  • Experiment with new formats and creative approaches to maximize engagement and reach.

Performance Analysis

  • Monitor the performance of visual content across social media channels with cross-functional partners.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of future campaigns.

Requirements

Creative Vision:

A strong portfolio showcasing your creative vision, design skills, and experience in producing visual content for social media platforms.

Strategic Thinker

Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into compelling visual content strategies and executions.

Strong Communication Skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate creative ideas and provide constructive feedback.

Adaptability

Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced environments and evolving priorities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Attention To Detail And Accountability

Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all visual content meets quality standards and brand guidelines.

Knowledge Of Social Media Trends

Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, platform algorithms, and emerging visual content formats.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries.
  • Proficiency in design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar tools.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, with a proven track record of growing engagement and reach.
  • Strong understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or third-party social analytics tools) to track performance and inform strategies.
  • Experience working with influencers and brand collaborations is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.
