ASRC Federal is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support their work with the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) G6 at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Senior Software Engineer will support the PADDS team in developing and supporting ACC’s Procurement Automated Document and Data System (PADDS) solution.
The PADDS effort supports the PADDS solution, an automated contract writing tool that interfaces with other US Government procurement and financial systems (e.g., the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Virtual Contracting Environment (VCE)) and provides a standardized method that is used by all AMC commodity commands in the preparation, recording, processing, and maintaining of contractual instruments.
Key Responsibilities
Using a variety of computer programming languages, support the software development efforts of PADDS, supporting all hotfix releases, and the regularly scheduled major releases throughout the year.
Work with the Project Manager to maintain project plans for each release of PADDS, utilizing Agile and/or Predictive based methods as best suits the method of development.
Assist in the development and maintenance of test plans and test scripts to ensure proper functionality of PADDS through all releases.
Work with outside support agencies in ensuring the availability of PADDS.
Work with the cybersecurity team in developing POA&Ms, STIGs, resolving vulnerability, managing incidents, and developing documentation as required to support RMF 2.0 efforts.
Participate in the audit process for PADDS as required.
Ensure PADDS is fully compliant with all outside regulations, to include Section 508
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in developing and sustaining complex, legacy software applications.
Experience in a variety of technologies, including:
XML feeds, web service calls
Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and Java scripting
APEX
Visual Studio and C++
PRO*COBOL and PRO*C
.NET
UNIX Scripting
Oracle PL/SQL
Experience working with STIGs and supporting the RMF 2.0 process
CLEARANCE LEVEL
SECRET Clearance
EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution, or an equivalent number of additional years of experience (4 years)
CERTIFICATION
The following certification is preferred: CISSP-ISSAP
