Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise

  • Possess extensive knowledge of M&E-specific accounting challenges such as content capitalization and impairment, revenue recognition, and valuation of intellectual property.
  • Solve complex accounting/technical issues and clearly communicate solutions with little to no involvement of senior leadership.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting regulations, and industry guidance to strengthen technical capabilities within the practice.
  • Develop and lead targeted training programs tailored to M&E accounting complexities to foster firm-wide technical growth.

Client Engagement & Project Management

  • Oversee all aspects of engagement/project deliverables and manage a portfolio of client projects within the M&E space.
  • Own client delivery and relationships, serving as the engagement leader.
  • Communicate issues proactively to clients and provide well-thought, clearly articulated solutions.
  • Deliver outstanding written communication while driving billable hours and exceptional client service.
  • Ensure Managers and Consultants are fully staffed and utilized within the M&E practice.

Practice Growth & Business Development

  • Play a key role in practice growth and business development by generating leads and securing new clients within the M&E industry.
  • Proactively identify and scope opportunities at existing clients.
  • Build a robust network of M&E decision-makers, influencers, and referral sources.
  • Enhance the firm’s brand by actively participating in industry events, conferences, and boards relevant to the M&E sector.
  • Participate in the recruiting process by interviewing candidates and referring talent as the M&E practice grows.

Compliance, Leadership & Mentorship

  • Drive compliance with timesheet submissions and other firm policies across the M&E team.
  • Take full responsibility for invoicing and collections.
  • Mentor professionals and encourage professional growth across the organization.
  • Lead by example: take ownership of team mistakes, celebrate successes, demonstrate strong morals, and model a solid work ethic.
  • Drive overall firm growth and development by establishing and leading firm initiatives wherever possible.

Minimum Requirements

  • CPA with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce plus 8 years of experience in Accounting.
    • (A 3-year foreign degree will be accepted as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.)
  • Alternatively, Master’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce plus 8 years of experience in Accounting.
