Senior Controls Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our material handling solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in controls engineering and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, whether working remotely or from our Franklin, TN office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for material handling equipment.
• Create detailed schematics and documentation using AutoCAD and Eplan.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project requirements and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems.
• Provide technical support during control panel commissioning and system start-up.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field or 14+ years of experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, preferably in material handling or automation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Eplan for design documentation.
• Strong experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
• Familiarity with network configurations and control panel design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
