Alpha Coffee Rover Position -

The Rover position is an important part of our barista team as they work hard to support the team’s focus on the best possible customer experience. This team member reports directly to the GM and works under the supervision of the Shift Lead on a daily basis. Many of the tasks assigned to a Rover are critical to overall team success! A Rover is someone who should love working in a team environment, has good attention to detail, is a strong communicator, has a strong work ethic, is a self-starter, and is someone who takes pride in their work. Dependability and prompt attendance are expected. There is flexibility for time off if communicated well in advance and cleared with supervisor. In this position you will learn valuable work skills and team-based goal achievement. At Alpha we take pride in our positive and caring culture and work environment.

General Requirements & Responsibilities -

Hours: 15 - 22 hours / week

2 -3 weekdays (3:00pm - 6:30pm)

1-2 weekend days per week (shifts are 8:00am - 12:00pm or 1:pm - 6:30pm)

Pay: $12 hourly during 3 month probationary period - potential for raise to $13 after that based on performance

Responsibilities -

• Arrive on time and be ready to work
• Bus tables and collect bus bins
• Clean lobby regularly (sweep and mop floors, collect and replace trash bags)
• Answer customer questions or concerns professionally
• Wash and put away dishes
• Clean and restock bathrooms
• Clean and restock condiment bar
• Grind coffee and seal bags for customers
• Stock retail and apparel racks
• Assist baristas with receiving and putting away supplies
• Clean and maintain organization of shop back of house (BOH)
• Follow directions of Shift Lead when assigned other tasks
• Must be 15 or older.
• Timeliness and dependability are critical.
• Dress code for work includes no facial piercings (nose piercings OK), no septum rings, no gauges. Tattoos are allowed but should not be distracting.
