Role Overview
- Position: Public Policy Specialist – Contract, Remote
- Commitment: 20 hours per week, Duration: 2 months
- Combine public policy expertise with language mastery to train AI models in public policy.
- Translate and synthesize complex policy frameworks into structured rubrics for AI training.
- Write fluently in both Japanese and English, ensuring accurate terminology and nuanced expression.
- Provide cultural and policy insights unique to Japan.
- Collaborate with reviewers and peers to refine content.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Japanese with strong written and spoken English.
- Degree in policy, political science, sociology, or similar field.
- 2–6+ years of experience in politics, public policy, or think tanks.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with grading, instructional design, or rubric development.
- Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts.
- Remote and asynchronous role
- 20 hours per week commitment
- 2 months duration
- Structured project environment with clear goals and tools
