Our client is a global Tier 1 in the automotive industry and is looking for a Regional Operations Director for one of his business unit. Location is flexible in the US.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for production facilities across the region with the managing budget and controlling expenses.
• Direct Management of the plant managers at manufacturing facilities to ensure that production
results are achieved within established benchmarks.
• Own the regional manufacturing KPIs and performance.
• Work closely on Continuous improvement actions and projects to help advise plant performances.
•Meet customers’ needs and established financial benchmarks.
• Ensures standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are
maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
• Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas.
• Supports and Advises plant managers on labor issues including safety, security
PROFILE REQUIRED
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field. MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years manufacturing and/or operations experience. Plant experience/Multiplant responsibillity is a must
• Strong Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results
• Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1–3-year time span.
• Strong Management ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Technical Manufacturing skills: Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, Process Improvement, freight and distribution, materials management, and production scheduling.
Strong customer orientation and a good financial acumen.
• Willingness to travel
