We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a strong background in composite manufacturing to lead our quality function. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
As a hands-on leader, you will work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams, while mentoring a team of quality inspectors and technicians. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact within a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
Lead, coach, and manage quality assurance and control staff.
Maintain quality documentation, inspection plans, and records.
Manage internal/external audits, including ISO audits, customer audits, and supplier quality assessments.
Track and report on quality metrics such as scrap rates, customer returns, and first-pass yield; conduct root cause investigations and drive improvements.
Partner with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introduction (NPI).
Ensure compliance with material specifications, drawings, and process parameters specific to composites and radome products.
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) processes and oversee disposition of nonconforming materials.
Support regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance as it relates to quality.
Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and proactive quality practices throughout the facility.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
5–7 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 systems, document control, auditing, and management reviews.
Proven experience leading quality teams and driving continuous improvement.
Skilled in using quality tools such as FMEA, RCA, 5-Why, Pareto, SPC, and Control Plans.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
