Position: Procurement Engineer (Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical or Construction)

Salary Range: Level III: $117,900 to $150,650 OR Level V: $151,200- $193,200

Travel Expectations: potential 10% to vendors

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an engineer to support our procurement team and supply chain team in Rockville, MD. This role is key in identifying and developing equipment and service suppliers to establish a robust supply chain that supports project goals and supply chain regional localization targets. Must have an Engineering background.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or Science.
• For LEVEL III: Typically, five years of experience, Level V: Typically, 15 years' experience; in an engineering or supply chain role required. Experience in Nuclear, Electrical and electronics, power generation, or construction preferred.
• Provide commercial and technical input to the organization to ensure documents used in a procurement are complete and the appropriate contracting strategy is being implemented.
• Experience developing negotiating strategies and leading supplier negotiations.
• Experience in developing strategic Category Management Plans to leverage spend and create value for the company/project.
• Experience related to supplier identification, development, and performance management.
• Technical knowledge about the manufacture, operation, and maintenance of typical power plant components.
