The Dallas Bulls are seeking a proactive and driven Player Development Coordinator to support the comprehensive development of athletes, with a focus on performance growth, life skills, education, and career planning. This role serves as a key connector between players, staff, and resources to ensure athletes are supported in their personal, professional, and athletic journeys.

The Dallas Bulls are seeking a proactive and driven Player Development Coordinator to support the comprehensive development of athletes, with a focus on performance growth, life skills, education, and career planning. This role serves as a key connector between players, staff, and resources to ensure athletes are supported in their personal, professional, and athletic journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Athlete Support & Education
- Assist players with off-the-field development including financial literacy, media training, time management, and mental wellness.
- Coordinate life skills programming and guest speaker series addressing key topics relevant to pro athletes.
- Help integrate rookies and new players into the organization through orientation and ongoing mentorship.
- Performance & Career Development
- Support individualized development plans in collaboration with coaching, training, and performance staff.
- Track progress of player goals, provide feedback, and coordinate additional resources as needed (e.g., tutoring, coaching, mentorship).
- Serve as a sounding board for athletes and help align their long-term goals with team expectations.
- Logistics & Communication
- Coordinate with coaching and support staff to ensure seamless execution of development programs.
- Organize workshops, travel opportunities, community engagement, and career networking events.
- Help players navigate educational opportunities (e.g., finishing degrees, certifications, post-career planning).
- Player Well-Being & Culture
- Act as a daily support presence in the facility, building trusted relationships with players.
- Promote a healthy team culture through character-building initiatives and personal development support.
- Work closely with mental health professionals and player engagement teams when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Psychology, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience working with athletes in a development, mentoring, or educational role (collegiate, pro, or elite academy level).
- Understanding of the unique challenges and demands facing professional athletes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, counseling, or life coaching roles.
- Deep passion for athlete growth beyond performance metrics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and team travel.
- Trustworthy, approachable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
