Part-Time Medical Editor (Remote)

Location: Rahway, New Jersey

Compensation Range: $44 - 47 per hour

Cella has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Editor for Scientific Services at an award-winning, best-in-class, in-house agency at a major pharmaceutical company. This full-service agency produces a full suite of digital, video, augmented/virtual reality, and print assets and is consistently rated better than both similar in-house agencies and external competitors-overall and with respect to innovation, execution, and client support.

We are seeking a part time, 5-15 hours/week, Sr. Medical Editor to join the Scientific Services team. Candidate MUST have ELS (Editor Life Sciences) certification from the Board of Editors in Life Sciences (BELS). This is a fully REMOTE position.

Responsibilities:

• Copyedit materials for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Fact check content against source material.
• Collaborate with copywriters and other team members as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field (eg English, journalism, life sciences).
• Minimum 5+ years' experience editing and fact checking pharmaceutical, medical, and/or scientific materials, preferably within an agency environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience editing MedComms materials.
• Experience with Workfront preferred.
• Must have ELS (Editor Life Sciences) Certification.
• Prior experience editing within Publications.
